Good News

Today I received the rather good news from my oncologist that I only need to have ultrasound scans every 2 years now instead of every year. It’s only taken 18 years to get to this stage! I’ve been in remission for 6 years, and have undergone extensive treatment in the past for stage IV (advanced) papillary thyroid cancer.

If you’re interested in all the procedures I’ve had to undergo to gain remission, I’ve written them all down in the book below. At 66 I’m a bit battered around the edges, but still alive and kicking. Now I’m retired I’m enjoying line dancing, cycling, walking and swimming. There is life after a cancer diagnosis!
